MCC PANEL

RuncoN Motor Control Center (MCC) Panel is an assembly designed to control, manage, and protect multiple electric motors in a centralized location. These panels are widely used in industrial and commercial applications where numerous motors are operated simultaneously.

MCC Control Panels enclosed in powder coated sheets are effectively designed to be used with motors or submersible pumps. They allow easy monitoring and remote controlling of every single motor in your production plant. Each section contains a combination starter consisting of a motor starter, fuses or circuit breaker, and power disconnect — all connected via a common power bus.

Key Features of an MCC Panel

Each RuncoN MCC Panel is engineered with precision-grade components to deliver reliable motor control, protection, and monitoring in a single centralized enclosure — reducing wiring complexity and improving overall system safety and efficiency.

1. Main Components

Circuit Breakers / Fuses
Protect motors from overcurrent conditions and short circuits, ensuring safe panel operation at all times.
Contactors
Electromechanical switches that reliably control the starting and stopping of individual motors.
Overload Relays
Protect motors from overheating caused by sustained overload conditions, preventing damage and downtime.
Soft Starters (Optional)
Reduce inrush current during motor startup, enabling smoother acceleration and extending motor life.
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) (Optional)
Provide precise speed control for motors, enabling energy savings and improved process management.
Control Transformers
Step down voltage to provide a safe, stable low-voltage supply for control circuits and instrumentation.
Push Buttons & Selector Switches
Manual control interfaces that allow operators to start, stop, and switch motor modes directly at the panel.
Indicator Lamps & Meters
Provide real-time operational status, voltage, current, and power readings for each motor feeder.
PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
Enable full automation and seamless integration into larger SCADA or DCS control systems.
2. Construction Details
  • Enclosure: Fabricated from heavy-gauge sheet metal or stainless steel with powder coating. Available in IP54 and IP65 ratings for robust protection against dust, water ingress, and harsh environmental conditions.
  • Sections / Compartments: Each motor or motor group is housed in its own dedicated, isolated compartment or module — enabling safe individual maintenance, fast fault isolation, and easy future expansion without disrupting the rest of the system.
  • Busbars: Copper or aluminum busbars distribute power efficiently to individual motor feeders via a common power bus, ensuring minimal resistive losses and uniform power delivery.
  • Wiring & Terminals: All wiring is neatly routed, color-coded, and ferruled for easy identification. Terminal blocks are clearly labeled to facilitate quick troubleshooting, fault finding, and future system modifications or expansions.
